Water will be shutoff to some properties on Thursday 27 July on Grosvenor Street while we complete essential maintenance work on water mains. The water will be turned off from 9am – 1pm, unless any problems occur. This work is weather dependent and will alternatively be completed on 1 August.
If you are home, we recommend storing water for daily tasks: drinking (approximately two litres per person), general hygiene and food prep. To flush your toilet, you will need to store a bucket of approximately 10 litres of water. You can either pour the water down the toilet or fill the cistern and flush using the normal flush system.
Once the water is turned back on, we will flush your main pipes, which can cause air to become trapped. We suggest running your outside tap for five minutes capture the water in a bucket and reuse it in your garden.
