Conserve water use - Ōhaupō

Water supply is expected to be fully operational later today. Our team are working hard to fix the broken parts and reinstate the site. There is no need to conserve water, but please be aware that the pressure may be impacted for some time yet.

Once the system is back up and running, you may experience cloudy (trapped air bubbles) or discoloured water as the water flow increases. This can occur when we flush the pipes as natural sediment and trapped water are stirred up. This can easily be cleared by running an outside tap until the water runs clear.

18 April

We are asking residents to conserve water use tonight and tomorrow morning due to a water leak at the Parallel Road Water Treatment Plant.

Our waters crew have advised that we have enough reserve to last into tomorrow, but still need residents to conserve water.

Save that washing load and dishwasher for another day, limit toilet flushing and time your showers. Please avoid any non-essential water use where you can. You may experience low water pressure until tomorrow.

The team are onsite working on the issue to get the service back up and running. There is a fair bit of work involved to get this fixed.
