Sprinklers 6-8am and 6-8pm. Hand-held hosing any time. The alert levels apply to all residential and commercial customers on council water supply.

How to vote

Voting

You can drop off your voting papers from 9 September, 2025 to 12 noon on Saturday 11 October, 2025 at any of the following places:

Postal voting

You can also post your vote at any NZ Post Box nationwide.

To find a post box near you, visit the NZ Post website and search your area.

Special voting

You can make a special vote if:

  • your name does not appear on the final published electoral roll, but you qualify as an elector
  • after all voting papers have been delivered and you still have not received a voting pack
  • you spoil or damage the voting document you received in the post
  • you will be travelling during the voting period (from 9 September, 2025 to 12 noon on Saturday 11 October, 2025).

You can either phone and request a special voting pack to be posted out to you, or call into either of the Council offices during our normal office hours.

For a special vote to be valid, you must have enrolled by 10 October.
