Walking and Horse Riding
Council has recently opened the forest for horse riding and walking in addition to mountain bike activity. Until we have installed new maps and signage identifying horse riding and walking tracks we ask that you remain on the forestry roads.

Dogs are permitted on forestry roads provided that they remain on a leash at all times. Mountain Bike Club tracks are prohibited for horse riding or walking. Hunting and motorbikes are prohibited.
Mountain Bike Riding
Mountain bike tracks are open to the public for mountain bike riding. The Sainsbury Road mountain bike tracks have been developed by the Waipa Mountain Bike Club. Around 8 kilometres of track have been built near the forestry road which climbs the mountain from the end of Sainsbury Road.
