Bus services

We manage bus services between Hamilton and Cambridge as well as between Hamilton and Te Awamutu in conjunction with Waikato Regional Council and Hamilton City. Timetables, fares and bus stop information are available at the link below.

Health Shuttle This service offers transportation for clients to outpatient clinics at Waikato and Te Kuiti Hospitals, as well as other medical specialist clinics in Hamilton.

You can book a ride from Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 3:30 PM. Please make sure to book by 3:30 PM the day before your appointment.

To and Fro – Companion Driver Service A personalized transport service designed to help individuals maintain their independence. This transport option is ideal for various needs, including appointments, visiting friends, shopping, airport transfers, or small pet vet visits. The vehicle is easy to access.

Driving Miss Daisy – Cambridge/Te Awamutu Driving Miss Daisy is a companion driving service that offers personalized transportation.

They will pick you up and drive you to your destination, as well as provide help with tasks such as shopping or handling luggage.

Their scenic drive and outing service is quite popular, offering trips to places like the seaside, museums, or the cinema. All drivers undergo safety checks to ensure your well-being.

Please note that advance bookings are essential. They are an ACC-approved provider.

Cambridge Community House The Cambridge Community House Volunteer Driver Service provides transportation for individuals from their homes to health and wellness appointments in their local area or Hamilton.

This service includes trips to the doctor, hospital, counseling sessions, and more. Volunteer drivers assist passengers with getting in and out of the vehicle as well on and from their appointments. 		Phone: 027 667 7076
Freedom Companion Freedom Companion Driving is a personal driving service you can book in advance. They provide rides and extra help before and after your trip.

Their services are for elderly individuals, people with mobility challenges, and non-drivers who need assistance getting to appointments and running errands.

Total mobility

Total Mobility is a national door-to-door transport scheme designed to increase the mobility of people with disabilities.

The scheme provides financial help, giving registered users a 50 per cent discount on taxi fares. The total discount can be up to $18.75 for Waipā residents, with the user paying the rest of the fare to the taxi driver.

People who use the scheme must carry a valid Total Mobility photo ID card to get the discounted fare.
