Applications invited for discretionary funds
2 August 2013
Calling all non-profit community groups . . . . now is your chance to apply for financial assistance from Waipa District Council's discretionary funds.
Waipa District Council allocates discretionary funding to its Cambridge and Te Awamutu Community Boards and the Pirongia Ward Consultative Committee, a standing committee of council.
Formally known as the Community Board Grants, the funds allow for a broader range of eligible funding requests, which can include capital projects with a community benefit, operational expenses of groups providing a service or benefit to the community, and local community events. The fund is limited and is not suitable for large scale capital projects, or for significant Waipa-based events which have a separate funding stream.
Applications to the annual round of funding will be accepted until 5pm on Friday, August 30 2013.
