Calling all book lovers
5 March 2013
Calling all book lovers . . . . Waipa District Libraries are having a book sale in order to make room for new stock.
The sale will be held at the Cambridge Public Library from 2pm on Tuesday, March 12 until 1pm on Saturday March 16, during normal library hours. Eftpos will be available.
District librarian Alison Gordon said Waipa's libraries were constantly buying new material so it was important to make space for the new additions, and to keep the library collections modern, appealing and relevant.
Last year more than half a million items were issued from the two libraries.
All money raised from the one-off book sale will go towards library operating costs, which will include new books for the collections.
Once the sale is over the libraries will continue to have a selection of withdrawn books available to buy at the library entrances.
