Cambridge cycling course offered
15 January 2014
Sport Waikato and Waipa District Council have joined forces to offer a free cycling skills course for adults in Cambridge.
The beginner's course aims to increase confidence and road safety awareness for those new to cycling or getting back on a bike. The same course held elsewhere has proved very popular, making registrations essential.
The two-night course covers basic maintenance with an emphasis on puncture repairs plus cycle skills and tips aimed at keeping cyclists safe on the road. Those without a bike, but planning to get one, can still attend as a bike will be provided.
The first session covering bike maintenance will be held on Monday, February 10 from 5.30pm - 7.30pm. The second, covering safety, will be held on Wednesday, February 12th. Both sessions will be held in Cambridge.
The course will link budding cyclists into cycling groups and upcoming cycling events.
To register for the course, call Megan Jolly on 07 872 0030 or email mfj@xtra.co.nz
