Collins Road railway crossing closed for maintenance on 6 and 7 July

The Collins Road railway crossing will be closed for maintenance and repairs from midday on Saturday 6 July until midnight on Sunday 7 July.

The road closure will affect Collins Road for approximately 80 metres either side of railway line. Local residents will be advised and signs will be installed next week to alert regular users of Collins Road to the closure. Diversions will be in place while the work is being done.

The Waipa District Council's contractor, Strada, will repair the approach to the railway crossing while KiwiRail will work on the railway itself.

If poor weather prevents the work from starting on 6 July, it will be deferred until the next fine day.
