Four to contest Cambridge election
16 December 2013
Four people will vie for the vacant spot on the Cambridge Community Board.
The elections in October left one vacancy and Waipa District Council, by law, must hold a by-election to fill it.
With nominations now closed Michael Cole, Julie Epps, Erich Redder and Doug Taranaki have all put their names forward.
Only Cambridge ward voters, about 12,600 people, will be eligible to vote in the postal election. Election papers will be sent out from Monday, January 20. Voting will close at 12 noon on Tuesday, February 11 2014 and the outcome will be known shortly after.
Residents and ratepayers who are not listed on the final electoral roll for the election can enrol at Post Shops or by calling 0800 ENROL NOW (0800 36 76 56), or by visiting www.elections.org.nz.
