Road works in Cambridge

Road users in Cambridge have been warned to expect minor inconvenience next week when resurfacing work begins.

The work along Shakespeare Street from the low level bridge to the Cook Street roundabout is scheduled to begin on December 4 and take around eight days. Contractors will be working at night to speed up the amount of time required to complete the job. Access to some properties may be restricted for short periods.

The road is current cracking and the work is being undertaken now to avoid any overlap with major repairs to the high-level bridge scheduled for early next year.

Residents will be advised if the work is re-scheduled for any reason.
