Waipa District Council to pass on credit card surcharges

As of 1 July 2013 Waipa District Council will be passing on transaction surcharges for all credit card payments to its customers.

This means anyone using a credit card will be charged the fee applied by their credit card provider.

Waipa District Council will not receive any part of this fee.

This decision has been made in an effort to ensure those using credit card services pay for the true cost of that service and the cost is not being subsidised by non-credit card users.
