Road works and closures
The Shakespeare Street /Cook Street Roundabout in Cambridge resurfacing has been delayed to the new year due to inclement weather we’ve had in the last week and the forecast leading up to Christmas is not looking favourable.
The new dates for the works are Wednesday and Thursday - 18th and 19th of January.
We anticipate some parking restrictions will apply. Cones will be utilised to indicate non-parking zones.
Please warn your children of the dangers posed by road works. Ensure that they stand well back from the action and that they follow the directions of the workers. It is also a good idea to keep pets indoors while work is in progress.
Roadwork is a noisy, dirty business – but please bear with us. We will be doing all we can to minimise the impact on your household and business. Your cooperation and patience will help us get the work done as quickly as possible.
All new road works are routinely monitored and, in some cases, workers may need to return to the site to do things like repainting road markings.
