Water shutdown - Bowen and King Street
Water Works
Water will be turned off on Bowen and King Street on Tuesday 2 May from 8:30am - 12:30pm to enable connection of a new water main.
If you are home we recommend storing water for daily tasks: drinking (approximately two litres per person), general hygiene and food prep. To flush your toilet, you will need to store a bucket of approximately 10 litres of water, you can either pour the water down the toilet or fill the cistern and flush using the normal flush system.
Once the water is turned back on we will flush your main pipes, which can cause air to become trapped, we suggest running your outside tap for five minutes capture the water in a bucket and reuse it in your garden.
