Hornwort Control at Lake Karāpiro June 2023

Helicopter and boat based weed spraying will be carried out by LINZ on Lake Karāpiro from Tuesday 20 June and may continue until Friday 30 June. We will let you know which day 24hrs before spraying begins.
The spraying will be used to treat aquatic weeds in the lake. LINZ recommends a 24 hour stand-down on swimming, fishing and taking water for irrigation or domestic supply once the spraying is complete.
