Water shutdown - Ballance Street

Water will be temporarily shut off to properties on Ballance Street on 16 August from 10am to 2pm while we complete essential maintenance work on water mains.

If you are home, we recommend storing water for daily tasks: drinking (approximately two litres per person), general hygiene and food prep. To flush your toilet, you will need to store a bucket of roughly 10 litres of water. You can pour the water down the toilet or fill the cistern and flush using the regular flush system.

Once the water is turned back on, we will flush your main pipes, which can cause air to become trapped. We suggest running your outdoor tap for five minutes, capturing the water in a bucket and reusing it in your garden.
