A section of Maungatautari Road, just south of Mighty River Domain and near the Brooklyn Water Ski Club, will have stop/go traffic management in place from Monday. We will be removing fifteen large, exotic trees that have unfortunately been poisoned.
Road users can expect some delays of up to 15 minutes at certain times. The work is expected to take two weeks, and while we’re there we’ll also remove some smaller weed-type trees.
Traffic management will start each day from 8:30am and will finish before 4:30pm. The stop/go will finish at about 3:30pm during the second week to allow school traffic to free flow.
The cycleway will be closed during the works and will be opened each day after our contractors finish at 4:30pm and over the weekend.
The contractor will work Monday to Friday and no works or traffic management will be in place on the weekend.
We need to remove the dying trees before they become a safety hazard, thank you for your patience.
