Cambridge pool development on hold

Any future development of swimming facilities in Cambridge has been deferred until the council considers its 2015-2025 Long Term Plan.

Originally the council had planned to build a multi pool complex in the 2014/15 year however as the required amount of community fundraising was not realised, the council committed to consulting further with the community about any future development.

Last week the council agreed that the most appropriate time for this to occur would be during the 2015-25 Long Term process.

The current Cambridge pool will continue to operate in the interim.
