Funding available for community projects
1 August 2018
Waipā community groups seeking support for local projects are encouraged to apply for funding.
Cambridge and Te Awamutu Community Boards and the Pirongia Ward Committee have funds available as part of the Community Discretionary Fund. This fund supports community organisations who offer services or support within the Waipā district.
Last year, over $100,000 was requested from nearly 100 applications across the district. Previous successful projects included the Te Miro Settlers Hall Inc, Te Awamutu Community Menz Shed Inc and Kainga Aroha Community House.
Priority will be given to those applying for community projects, as opposed to operating costs. Allocations are typically between $200 to $2000 per applicant, but larger amounts will be considered at the discretion of the boards.
Applications close 5pm, Friday 31 August 2018.
