Waipa Community Facilities Trust members confirmed

The five provisional appointments to the inaugural board of the Waipa Community Facilities Trust have been confirmed.

The members are Merv Gyde, Mike Livingstone, Mike Lord, Ray Milner and Graham Scott.

The trust has been formed to promote active sport and recreation and to undertake administration of leisure facilities within the district, with an initial focus on the Trust Waikato Te Awamutu Events Centre and the Cambridge Swimming Pool Complex.

The appointments were made following a selection process undertaken by an independent panel who volunteered their time.

Business Support Group Manager Ken Morris said the panel members Ken Williamson (Institute of Directors), Bev Laurent (Cambridge) and Keith Storey (Te Awamutu), were chosen for their vast experience as trustees and directors as well as providing a balance of representation across the district.

They were assisted by external Human Resources Advisor Sharee Nielsen.
