Enviroschools
Imagine a generation of innovative and motivated young people, who instinctively think and act sustainably.
Enviroschools is a programme aimed at creating sustainable schools and has developed into a national programme that is being implemented in schools throughout the country.
The programme involves a whole school approach where staff, students and the wider school community work together to integrate environmental education into key areas of school life. Each participating school is supported by an Enviroschools facilitator.
Enviroschools is a growing network of schools and communities who want to make a positive difference to our environment. Schools create an environmental pathway and then move along that chosen pathway. Each school starts from a unique place and each school's journey is different.

New Zealand Association for Environmental Education (NZAEE)
The NZAEE promotes environmental education initiatives at both a national and regional level and has branches in all regions across New Zealand.
NZAEE coordinates Seaweek at the national level, frequently hosts workshops and forums, and is an active participant in a number of initiatives including the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.
The Association also serves in an advisory capacity on an array of environmental education issues.
The Waikato branch of NZAEE operates at a regional level to provide information evenings, workshops and field trips to highlight environmental education projects in the Waikato.
The branch also convenes an annual environmental education showcase event, and hosts the Youth Environment Forum in the Waikato.
