Property files contain information such as building consents, resource consents, flooring and drainage plans. All property files are required to be quality assured by Council staff in advance of being ready for you to view. Depending on the property file size or complexity, this can take time and might incur a fee in line with Council’s fees and charges schedule.
Council’s fees and charges have been reviewed as part of the 2021-2031 Long Term Plan process. From 1 July 2024, the fees and charges for property files are:

| Complex property file (electronic and viewed at counter) | over 400 files | $66.00 |
| Material cost e.g. on USB | - | $30.00 |
| Postage e.g. USB to NZ address | - | $5.50 |
Other charges e.g. scanning, printing etc may apply as per the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 section in the fees and charges schedule.
