Property snapshot

Property online report

You can search any property within the Waipā district. Search by street address, legal description or property ID to create a property snapshot report. This online report is a compilation of Council data and maps.

The property snapshot report includes the following information:

  • Property information including legal description, assessment number, property ID, titles, ward and district plan zone
  • Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) data
  • Valuation data
  • Rates information for local and regional Councils
  • Water meter information
  • Building consent issued for the property since 1991
  • Compliance information
  • Licence information
  • Recycling and rubbish information
  • District Plan information: aerial, overview, flood hazard and utilities maps, Zones and Overlays, Qualifying Matters, Policy areas and schedule of notified plan changes.

Accessing this online search tool online is free of charge. If you would like a printed copy from Council, there is a $5 fee.

Please note: A property report is not the same as a Land Information Memorandum (LIM) report. You can’t use it as a complete search of the property. We provide this information in good faith, but we do not guarantee it is accurate or complete.

If you want to buy a property, please apply for a LIM report.

How to use the online tool

1. Visit the Property Snapshot search tool.

2. Enter the property address or property ID on the top left of the screen in the search box.

3. Once you enter the address, the property information will appear on the left of your screen.

4. To download the full report, select the tile on the right hand-side next to Property information title (highlighted in yellow in the below image).

Once you click on the tile, wait a few seconds while the system generates the report for you.
